ROYAL PALM BEACH - A man residing in Broward County alleges two counts of negligence on Uber and their employed driver for auto negligence.

The Plaintiff, Matthew Anzaldi, filed a complaint on September 2, 2016 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court against Saul Fenelus and Uber Technologies, Inc. alleging that Saul negligently operated a vehicle causing it to strike the pedestrian, and Plaintiff, Matthew.

According to the complaint, on December 19, 2015, the Defendant, Saul was an employee of Uber. By carelessly and negligently driving, he hit Matthew as he was crossing the street. Due to his negligence, Matthew suffered and will continue to suffer permanent injuries including, but not limited to; disability, disfigurement, and the loss of the ability to earn money. On the first count, Saul is found negligent by breaching his duty to exercise reasonable care and safety while operating a motor vehicle. On the second count, Uber is found vicariously negligent for their employee's negligent driving.

The Plaintiff requests a trial by jury of all issues and demands judgment against Saul Fenelus and Uber Technologies, Inc. for damages in excess of $15,000.00, costs, pre-judgment interest, and any other relief the court deems just.
