FT. LAUDERDALE - 7-Eleven is being sued after a slip and fall that occurred on the premises, according to a complaint filed on September 6, 2016.

On or about December 23, 2014, the Plaintiff, Bergeau Dessalines, was a patron at a 7-Eleven store located in FT. Lauderdale. Due to a slippery substance on the floor, Dessalines was caused to slip and fall.

According to the complaint, Dessalines sustained serious injuries including, but not limited to, significant permanent and non-permanent injuries, immobility, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, and mental and emotional harm.

He alleges that the Defendant, 7-Eleven, was negligent in failing to adequately warn of the existence of such defective and/or dangerous conditions and failing to implement adequate safety rules and practices. 

Dessalines demands judgment for damages against 7-Eleven, Inc. in an amount in excess of $15,000. The Plaintiff is represented by Hilda R. Ramirez-Gainza, Esq. of Gainza Law Group, LLC in Fort Lauderdale.
